A fun trip...and fun stuff...

There really is so much I could say about Creative Escape and how much fun Tal and I had...really so much. Heidi really explained the weekend perfectly on her blog, so read what she wrote.

Some of my favorite things were:
-The hot weather
-Of course Heidi's class was my favorite which was this memory board using 2 canvases. Her classes are always my favorite cause I feel so inspired...it's always more than just a project...there's always something that gets me thinking. But we made this really cool memory board to put pictures on and little things that inspire me. And the cool part about it is that there is a mirror that connects the two boards together. I haven't finished mine yet, so I don't have a picture to share, sorry!
-Rhonna's class was another favorite! Tal and I were so productive and got all our pages stamped...loved the stamping. And since some people left her class cause they thought it was too overwhelming, Tal and I each got our own set of stamp pads to work with which made things go so fast. We loved this class so much that we rushed out before the on-site store closed and each bought 5 sets of stamps...hehe! Gotta love an addiction!
-Rhonna was also a lot of fun to meet. She's such a spunky little thing! Anyway who has met her will know exactly what I mean.
-one of my very favorite things about the weekend was the trunk show. It was my favorite last year, and this year was even more amazing. Each teacher sets up a table full of their work, and let me tell you it was pretty amazing this year. From the decorated chandelier (sp?) to the decorated door to the candy jars...so many things to look at and touch. One thing that annoyed me though was that everyone just wanted the teachers to sign their bag or book, but we were supposed to be there to see their creativity. It really is such a neat thing.
-The food was so yummy! Mexican one night, and yummy lunches! I love how the food is included cause things are so much easier when you don't have to think about what you're going to eat.
-Allison Tyler Jones on Saturday night was completely amazing. I mentioned it before, but I keep thinking about things she said. She really gave so much to think about. I have a bunch of scrapbook layout ideas that I want to do now after listening to her.
-The Friday night extravaganza was different this year, but seemed to work really good. Each group went to a different classroom and then the teachers moved around and we made 16 playing cards. We were soooo tired this night, but managed to finish all of them but 2 or 3. We were seriously tired.
-It was a busy weekend, but so nice to get away and focus on scrapbooking. We enjoyed our day after the convention was over to sit by the pool and relax...and finish all our projects before packing everything up.

And this is what I won! So fun!

I might have to do part 2 another time. :)
