Photography

I was playing on the computer today and started looking through this session I did almost a year ago...ok not quite, but back in May of 2012.  It just seems like forever ago.  I was using my old camera body and my dad's lens.  Patiently awaiting the arrival of my new camera!  I remember when I got my first camera...well the first one that kind of started my photography love.  I was in Grade 10 and I took tons of pictures of my group of friends.  My two besties and I actually did a few interesting photo shoots that were quite hilarious.  We did manage to get one photo in particular that was a keeper, but the rest of them are not ones I would display or even show anyone in public for that matter...if I even still have them. ha.

But it's amazing how much photography means to me.  The simple photos of our everyday tell a story that I would not be able to capture otherwise.  The 'photo shoots' I do for others allows me to grow and develop as a person...a chance for me to be creative.  The many photos I have framed on the walls in our home remind me of precious moments of my most loved and cherished treasures...my family.  The times I actually step in front of the camera and have others take pictures of me with my family allows me to show that I was present in their lives...the imperfect photos are usually my favourite.  They capture what our life is really like...hehe!

I just love photography.

This girl is just so sweet and beautiful...I really hope she knows it.

You're such an excellent photographer. I loved these pictures. And you're right "this girl" is so sweet and beautiful. She's one of my assistants this year for my musical theatre class, and I love her!
