another reason why i LOVE this paint....

I could give you a million...cause it really is that great, but I should start by explaining what happened.

I have a few (okay lots) of projects in my garage that I've been working on...so one morning I was quickly painting a coat of the prettiest old white on this bench when Ryker came bounding into the garage and sat right down on the lid of the paint can.  Wet paint covered the bum of his pajamas!!  I got them off and thankfully that was it for the mess, but I was too busy getting him new clothes and cleaning up and completely forgot about the pajamas.  Well...yesterday I was doing yet another load of laundry and came across the pajamas and couldn't believe I hadn't washed them yet!  I thought for sure they would be ruined.  I threw them in the wash anyways and decided I'd just see how bad they were when I pulled them out.  And after going through the washer and dryer I pulled them out and you could not even see one speck of paint.  Anywhere!

In my opinion that makes for some pretty amazing paint!!!

If you need some other tips for using this paint get it here.

Painted Highchair

Before

I was driving home from my parents house (which is literally just a couple of blocks away) when I saw this old man putting this cute highchair out for the garbage truck!  I mentioned to my mom that I thought it was really cute and on her daily run she stopped and asked the man if her daughter could have it.  Nothing was wrong with the chair in my opinion.  I loved the crack in the wood...just adds some character :) but I did know that I would be painting over the cute little bunny.  I actually had planned to keep it for myself, but after trying it out with my son I decided that he was almost done with a highchair, so why keep something that wouldn't get used.  It now has a new home with another family who apparently fell in love with it when they saw it which makes me super happy since I always seem to love every piece that I paint...there's just no room for more pieces around this small house!!

After

I have another super cute highchair waiting to be painted...just not sure what color to go with.  I'm thinking of the classic white...distressed, but I also have this pretty yellow that I've been dying to paint something...hmmm...choices.

A Little Gift

Before

After

This was one of my favorite projects.  It was for my cute little niece who just turned 9!!!  It's hard to believe she's that old since I was just holding her in the hospital for the first time yesterday...at least it feels that way.  I wanted to do something special for her...and I seriously loved how it turned out.  Even Cody loved it!  Okay maybe 'loved' is a bit strong, but he said he really liked it and even suggested we keep it!!  Not sure where he was planning on putting it...haha!!

It was simple...the night table was FREE!  Yup, it was free...I used paint and stain that I already had and then bought a but new pull from anthropolgie.  I love that store :)

Winter is here...the projects have slowed down, but it doesn't mean the desire to be working on items has stopped.  We have a heated garage but it's not enough to get me out there working.  Luckily I still have a couple more pieces to share from around the house.  Now it's just finding time to blog.  What scares me is that life seems to get busier and busier.  And I don't even have kids in school!  You might ask what I do with my time...and I can't even say.  Some days I wonder the same thing.  I have two boys who keep me busy.  I love it though!!  Being a mom is the best thing in the world.  Love it!
