Painted Highchair

Before

I was driving home from my parents house (which is literally just a couple of blocks away) when I saw this old man putting this cute highchair out for the garbage truck!  I mentioned to my mom that I thought it was really cute and on her daily run she stopped and asked the man if her daughter could have it.  Nothing was wrong with the chair in my opinion.  I loved the crack in the wood...just adds some character :) but I did know that I would be painting over the cute little bunny.  I actually had planned to keep it for myself, but after trying it out with my son I decided that he was almost done with a highchair, so why keep something that wouldn't get used.  It now has a new home with another family who apparently fell in love with it when they saw it which makes me super happy since I always seem to love every piece that I paint...there's just no room for more pieces around this small house!!

After

I have another super cute highchair waiting to be painted...just not sure what color to go with.  I'm thinking of the classic white...distressed, but I also have this pretty yellow that I've been dying to paint something...hmmm...choices.

Super cute! I love the turquoise with the red balls and chrome. Always a great color combo!

I need to be more gutsy, and ask for things when I see stuff out for the trash. I am sure I missed out on some treasures because I am a chicken!
it turned out so cute!
