today is a busy and stressful day.
our littlest dude is having surgery.
i remember perfectly the moment in the hospital when i noticed his cute little tongue moving around and saw that he was tongue-tied. i asked the nurse about it and she responded like they already knew he was and what was the big deal.... it could have been a quick fix as a new baby, but i was told they no longer 'snip' tongues and have found that kids do quite well with them. this has been true for the most part with this boy as he talks quite well and doesn't seem to have too many issues at the moment. But talking with our dentist and a speech pathologist has helped us decide to have this procedure done now. while he's still young.
i'm actually super nervous even though it's a simple procedure. i think it's just seeing one of my babies put to sleep that worries me....

today is the day.
i've filled the freezer with popsicles and ice cream...and just plan on snuggling him as much as i can!!
saying a lots of prayers that everything goes smoothly!

Good luck to your little guy! When my baby was born, we had to 'snip' the thing under his tongue because he had a hard time latching on when I nursed him.
Hope the surgery goes well. :)
awe... so sad!! I hope he recovers quickly and that everything went smoothly.
